Your Guide to Hosting Thanksgiving at Home This Year
Things may be different this Thanksgiving, but that shouldn’t stop you from celebrating! There are plenty of ways to host a safer Turkey Day get-together, whether you do it virtually or invite over a small group of family members or close friends.
If your plans fall into the latter category, your apartment’s layout should make it easy to socially distance. The open floor plan and spacious kitchen will make it easy to maintain at least six feet of distance between you and your guests! You should also consider letting everyone serve themselves, buffet-style, and wearing masks anytime you’re not eating or drinking. Of course, the safest way to celebrate this year is to keep the gathering to just members of your household. You can always Zoom in those who can’t be there—or head to a park after your meal for a socially-distanced slice of pumpkin pie with friends or neighbors.
