Kickstart Your Weekend at Cerveceria La Tropical
Calling all beer lovers! There’s a new spot you’re going to want to try. Cerveceria La Tropical is a new brewery and gastropub now open in Wynwood, with tons of tasty eats and ice-cold brews to try. You’re welcomed by a super modern, open interior where you can actually see the brew setup in the back; it’s pretty neat and super comfortable for an afternoon or evening hang out or meal. Their story also dates back to pre-revolution times in Cuba, with a fifth generation now running the brewery.
Right now, they’re brewing five beers: La Original, La India, Nativo Key, La Gasolina, and Gumbo Limbo. From fruity IPAs to hoppy pale ales, there’s something for everyone. In terms of food, the menu is broken up into a few different sections including tapas, flatbreads, entrees, sandwiches, salads, sides, cerveza bites, and dessert. Favorite menu items so far are the beer can bread with whipped guava butter, the sea salt tostones with garlic herb chimichurri, lager steamed mussels made with La Original, Cuban sandwich empanadas, the Jamaican jerk chicken with tamarind jerk bbq sauce, and all the drunken banana fritters with salted rum caramel you can eat.
